Barcelona are on the brink of a UEFA Champions League group stage exit after a 3-3 draw at home to Group C rivals Inter Milan.
The hosts surrendered in the second half despite two late goals from Robert Lewandowski as they failed to find a decisive winner in Catalonia.
In this, Barça almost lost twice to Inter in the space of a week, falling behind 2–1 early in the second half to goals from Nicolo Barella and Lautaro Martinez, with Ousmane Dembele opening the scoring. But it was Robert Lewandowski’s first goal just under 10 minutes from time that drew the teams level. Robin Goossens put Inter ahead in the 89th minute before Lewandowski salvaged a point with a fine headed goal in the 92nd minute.

Barcelona giants brutally exposed
The investigation into Barcelona’s demise at the Camp Nou is likely to include some firm home truths for their veteran stars.
Xavi opted to stick with Gerard Pique in central defence, with night skipper Sergio Busquets anchoring the midfield.
A puck was caught out by Niccolò Barella for Inter’s first equaliser, with Busquets too slow in possession until Lautaro Martinez’s goal.
Busquets was then hooked, Pique scraping for 90 minutes, and both appeared to be entering their final days as Barcelona players.
Neither lacks big-game nous and experience, but they have been out in constant transition by Inter, and the sensation is growing that they will have their final action at the Camp Nou at the end of 2022/23.
